PikTop Privacy Policy

Effective Date November 4, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how PikTop ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, https://pik.top ("Site"). By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to our data practices as described herein.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect limited personal information when you use PikTop. Specifically:

  • Email address – provided when you submit a TikTok URL.
  • Username – created at the time of submission.
  • TikTok URLs – you may submit publicly available TikTok links to be displayed and ranked on PikTop.

We do not collect passwords, store persistent identifiers, or intentionally log IP addresses for user tracking purposes. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service, which may automatically collect aggregated, non-personal technical information. According to Plausible's Data Policy, this may include information such as:

  • Browser type
  • Operating system
  • Approximate location (city-level)
  • Referring websites

We do not associate this metadata with your submissions or identity.

How do we use your information?

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To link your TikTok URL submissions to your chosen username for public display, while keeping your email address private and never publicly visible.
  • To analyze site traffic and improve our platform through privacy-preserving metrics provided by Plausible.
  • To potentially send optional product updates or feedback requests, if you choose to opt in to receive communications.

We do not share or sell your data to advertisers or commercial partners.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate Piktop, including:

  • Supabase – for backend infrastructure and database hosting
  • AWS (US East region) – for underlying cloud hosting
  • Plausible Analytics – for cookie-free traffic and behavior analytics
  • Resend.com – for sending emails to users

These providers may process your data on our behalf. Each is subject to its own privacy and data security practices. These service providers are contractually prohibited from using your personal data for any purpose other than providing services to PikTop.

Please note that although PikTop is based in the UK, user data may be processed and stored outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. See "International Data Transfers" below.

Piktop uses Plausible Analytics, which is designed to operate without cookies by default. We do not place additional cookies on your browser.

We retain your email addresses, usernames, and submitted TikTok URLs for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services, unless you request deletion of your data.

While we do not currently offer self-service account management tools, you can request data deletion by contacting us at hi@louis.work. We will process your request and respond within 30 days.

  • All data is stored in Supabase, a platform compliant with SOC 2 Type II standards.
